6/19/2023 0 Comments Jk rowling half blood prince![]() Though I whole-heartedly think that she should have made the Half-Blood Prince reveal before Dumbledore’s death (when Harry and the reader still cared about such trivial matters), it doesn’t stop all the clues laid out in the book from being any less interesting. Rowling must have been giggling out loud when she was planting those clues. And it’s always in a calm, natural way that doesn’t alert suspicion. Literally every single time the Half-Blood Prince is mentioned, Snape comes up in the conversation. It’s one of my favourite opening chapters, and that stuff with Snape is also interesting, though I can’t imagine it would be too interesting if you didn’t already know what Malfoy’s mission was. ![]() Don’t misunderstand me though I loved The Other Minister. ![]() Though it’s pleasant at first, it has the unfortunate result of making the first half-ish of the book fairly boring. This is really the only one where the central mystery is something that actually helps Harry, and that nothing bad is really going to happen to him if he can’t uncover it. Think about the book titles for a second the first four are all about something that should be feared. ![]() The second to last Harry Potter book somehow ends up being one of the most chill ones yet? Not the ending of course, but the big title mystery is actually a pleasant thing for once. ![]() Previous book’s review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix (#5) ![]()
